<> Group and Division Changes Based on last minute input from teams correcting their age division, there have been several changes in Divisions and Groups late Sunday night April 3. 

We are working to incorporate these changes and stay on plan to post the official schedules Thursday night before 9PM.

<> Schedules will be posted Thursday night by 9PM  First Games Saturday will be at 8:50.  Teams are required to check in one hour before their first game

<> Entries for all age groups will be accepted through Monday April 4.  After that  teams will be accepted on a "space available" basis only.

<> Comp vs. Rec Classification - Coaches - Be sure that your team is properly registered as Comp or Rec according to these criteria
Any 3v3 team that is created by a tryout process OR has one or more players who have played on a full sided competitive team in their club in the last 12 months is classified as a Comp team. All other teams are eligible to play in the Rec division.
The definition of a full sided competitive team is one that has its roster selected by a tryout process.  The term "Full Sided" is to distinguish from 3v3 and applies to 6v6 and 8v8, as well as 11v11 since only the 6v6 and 8v8 formats are available to U9, U10, U11 and U12 players in many areas.  The key aspect of the definition of a comp player is that he or she plays on a team which has its roster selected through a tryout process .  U6/7/8 Divisions do not have separate Comp and Rec Divisions.  All players legally playing on a U6/7/8 team are considered Rec players

<> Goal Box -  This is a reminder that the goal box has been enlarged for the 2004/2005 tour  

The size of the box has been increased from 6ft x 10ft to 8ft x 12ft.  This will be the new standard in 3 v 3 format games.  The larger box opens up more scoring opportunities for the offense and forces the defense to challenge the attack earlier on the field.  The end result is a quicker pace game with more scoring opportunities and increases the awareness of defensive position and strategy to form the counter attack.

 

<>Qualifying for the Challenge 3v3 Summer Nationals at Disney - At least the top 4 teams in each Division will  qualify to enter the 4th Annual Challenge 3v3 National Championship to be played August 5th, 6th and 7th at Disney's Wide World of Sports.   In 2004 we had 350 teams from as far away as Kansas, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.  We expect close to 500 teams in 2005 for another great event.  Teams that qualify for the Summer Nationals will be notified right after the tournament.
